Wedding Invitation FAQs

1. When should we order our wedding invitations?

Most couples order their wedding invitations 4–6 months before their wedding date. This allows time for design, printing and sending them to guests around 8–12 weeks before the wedding. If you are planning a destination wedding or have many international guests, it is recommended to send invitations earlier.

2. When should Save the Date cards be sent?

Save the Date cards are usually sent 9–12 months before the wedding. They are especially helpful if your wedding is during peak season, on a holiday weekend or if guests need to travel.

3. Do you offer personalised wedding invitations?

Yes, all of our invitations at Blush Designs are fully personalised. You can customise the wording, colours and fonts to match your wedding style and theme. We don't charge a design fee if you need a custom design.

4. Do your invitations come with envelopes?

Yes, all of our wedding invitations include Ivory 120gsm envelopes. Coloured envelopes are available at an additional charge. Additional stationery such as RSVP cards and information cards can also be added to complete your invitation suite.

5. What information should be included on a wedding invitation?

A wedding invitation should typically include:

The names of the couple

Wedding date and time

Ceremony location

Reception details

RSVP information

Many couples also include information for accommodation, Day Two, directions and wedding websites.

6. What is a wedding mass booklet?

A wedding mass booklet (also called a ceremony booklet) guides guests through the order of service during a church ceremony. It usually includes readings, hymns, prayers and details of the wedding party. If you'd like a template please get in touch.

7. How many wedding invitations should we order?

You generally need to cover 60%-70% of your guest list  rather than one per guest. Most couples also order a few extra copies for keepsakes or last-minute additions to the guest list.

8. Do you design matching wedding stationery?

Yes, we offer a full range of matching wedding stationery, including Save the Dates, RSVP cards, mass booklets, welcome signs, table plans and thank you cards. Matching stationery helps create a cohesive look throughout your wedding.

9. How long does it take to receive wedding invitations?

Production times can vary depending on the design and customisation required, but most invitations are ready within 1–2 weeks after design approval. Ordering early ensures you have plenty of time before sending them to guests.

10. Do you deliver wedding invitations across Ireland?

Yes, Blush Designs delivers wedding invitations throughout Ireland. Our stationery is carefully packaged and shipped to ensure it arrives safely and ready to send to your guests.
